The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to remove mopping from their list of tasks. Some models have superior navigation and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through an efficient.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well however this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

robot vacuums best  stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home, detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

It's expensive, however it has many useful features. It is important to remember, however, that the device will incur recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able to capture the majority of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some nice jingles that indicated when it was beginning or completing its task.

The app was too basic and you had to change the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

robot vacuum cleaner uk  X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it has some distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy units.
